FIRST Team 1014 Bad Robots has been spreading the FIRST message since 2002. We are an extremely dedicated team that never stops working. We have grown as a team in size and in strength as we have worked to improve our mechanical and programming skills. We strongly believe in Coopertition^TM and embrace any opportunity to help each other.

We build at Dublin Coffman High School and are composed of the 3 Dublin High Schools: Coffman, Scioto, and Jerome. We have around 70 members on our team that have a love for all things related to FIRST. When the season begins every year in January, we, as one unit, push through our struggles until we reach the finish of our lovely robot.

Outside of building our robot, our team participates in Engineering Week every year. E-Week is where we distribute a lesson to the elementary teachers in the Dublin school district that teach students fundamental teamwork skills. To help rookie teams, every year our team offers a day where we provide classes on how to have a successful team through mechanics, wiring, programming, Chairman’s, and mentoring. Our team has supplied boxes around local schools and businesses to collect electronics for recycling purposes to help the environment. Our team has created their own aluminum water bottles that allowed us to stop using plastic disposable bottles during our season and all year round.

Our team could not have been created if it weren’t for the support of the Dublin AM Rotary who have become more appreciative of the work we do through FIRST every year.
